TOURIST TRAP | Have Some Fun In The Sun

Tourist Trap is a competitive multiplayer level I built with Halo 5’s Forge editor and scripting system, and it is now available to be played in Halo 5: Guardians Matchmaking. Tourist Trap is a fan favorite of the Roaming King playlist and the first level designed for the gamemode. 

The macro level shape is designed as if we took an Escort map from TF2 and twisted it into a big spiral. There is one main lane where the zone makes its way through the whole map to start again where it drops off the roof of a building. The center pit is the main hub for cutting through the map, to make your way to the zone path that goes around the exterior.

Encounters with the zone vary greatly between fighting in tight alleys in brutal nade traps to more open spaces and atriums.

A team with a good set up often has two players in the zone with two other players escorting them from various vantage points covering enemy approaches. However, there are also plenty of ways for enemies to combat this to get an better vantage point and take the zone for themselves leading to gripping close matches.
